About this activity

The tour starts in Maria Pita square, where a guide will explain you the legend about the local heroine.

You'll walk around the old city, visiting the amazing San Carlos garden, where Sir John Moore was buried. From there, you'll enjoy the wonderful view of the estuary and make a stop at the port, where you'll be able to appreciate the glass gallery buildings from the 19th century. You'll also learn about the time when Picasso lived in the city. You'll pass by his home and also by the school where he started his fine arts studies. You'll continue through the modern part of the city and also the most vibrant area, where are located the vast majority of the restaurants and bars.

The tour finishes at the Atlantic Ocean, at the beach. From there, you'll enjoy a fantastic view, and you'll be able to see the Tower of Hercules, the oldest roman lighthouse in use, included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

This walking tour will be carried out by a local guide that knows perfectly the city, not only its stories but also whatever you want to know about A Coruña and Galicia. And of course, you'll be given the best advices to enjoy the city to the fullest: the best places for drinks, tapas, lunch and dinner, museums, parks... At the end of the tour, you are free to pay as much as you want.
