About this activity
DAY 1 Arrive in Dubrovnik
Spend the day in exploring this UNESCO Heritage site.
DAY 2 Transfer to Zabljak, the highest town in the Balkans and located in the centre of breathtaking and beautiful Durmitor National Park. Visit the old Durmitor villages and enjoy the views of the extraordinar geological heritage such as Durmitor Saddle and 12th century medieval tombstones. Visit a local family and enjoy delicious homemade food.

DAY 3 Transfer to the Djurdjevica Tara Bridge for spectacular views of the stunning Tara Canyon (the deepest gorge in Europe) which is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and after to the summer pastures in the Bjelasica mountains. Meet working farmers and learn how Montenegrin cheese is made. Easy walk in the Bjelasica Mountains and a primeval forests in Biogradska Gora National park.

DAY 4 Transfer to the Moraca Canyon one of most beautiful river canyons in Montenegro and this unique place, will leave you breathless. This is followed by a trip to the Lake Skadar area. We will taste smoked fish and a glass of homemade grappa with the local fishermen. Next we visit a honey and wine producer who will lead you through the vineyards of a very Montenegrin grape.

DAY5 Transfer to Kotor Bay now recognized as one of Montenegro’s principal attractions and cultural treasures. First stop is in the charming old sea faring town of Perast. With its baroque architecture, and looking like a part of Venice that has floated down the Adriatic. We then embark on a short boat trip to church island Our Lady of the Rocks and then Old town Kotor. After lunch, we hike up to the beautiful but abandoned village of Gornji Stoliv.

Day 6 We visit the ruins of Stari Bar and discover the rich history of this part of Montenegro (Venetians, the Austro-Hungarians and the Ottoman Empire). The breathtaking remains of Stari Bar are on top of Lundža Hill and surrounded by steep cliffs. The ruins are inaccessible except for a steep entry from one side. Next we visit the fascinating medieval fortress town of Ulcinj, the southernmost town of the former Yugoslavia. This is an architectural ambience where you can visit palaces, citadels, mosques and orthodox churches. You will visit also Ada Bojana lagoon.

DAY 7 Transfer to Dubrovnik
This a free day to explore the amazing Dubrovnik City which is on the Adriatic Sea and is world famous for its distinctive Old Town, encircled with massive stone walls built in the 16th century. It is a photographers dream whilst also offering and abundance of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars,
