About this activity
DAY 1 Arrival and check in at Edinburgh hotel Evening meet and greet and introduction to the photography tuition. 

DAY 2 We will start our tour being guided through the charming streets to see the many many sites and shops of Edinburgh's New Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site . Passing through the popular Princes Street, we will walk around the West End and also visit the Scottish Parliament, Palace of Holyrood, Georgian House and there is an optional walk up to the Scott Monument.

DAY 3 Our guided tour will continue to Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and all the historical sites of Old Town (a cobblestone-filled village inside a city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site) including local markets, fascinating streets, colourful houses, the world famous Greyfriars Kirkyard, cathedrals, the notorious Tolbooth Prison, and great views.

DAY 4 We move to another amazing place called Aviemore, in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. On route we will visit a famous Distillery. There we will be shown how skilled distillers take pure water from crystal-clear streams and plump, golden barley from the fields and transform them into a precious spirit called Scotch Whisky. We will also visit interesting villages and other sites whilst being immersed in amazing scenery.

DAY 5 Cairngorms, Loch Ness and Isle of Skye In the morning we will take Scotland’s only funicular railway to the top of Cairngorm. This is a unique visitor experience and at the Top Station the Ptarmigan Restaurant will offer panoramic views from over 3,500ft above sea level. There is also a viewing terrace, exhibition, shop and the highest post box in the British Isles. By the afternoon we will have reached the most famous piece of water in the world, Loch Ness, whose banks are home to Urquhart Castle is one of Scotland's most iconic. From there we travel to the Isle of Skye stopping at Eilean Donan Castle which is recognised all around the world (and whose global status was cemented after appearing the movie “Highlander”.)

DAY 6 Isle of Skye and Inverary In the morning we visit the amazing scenery of the Isle of Skye including the “The Old Man of Storr” and the “Quiraing” and in the afternoon we take the ferry from Armdale to Mallaig and head towards the beautiful Inverary. On route we stop at the famous 21 Arch Glen Finnan viaduct as featured in four “Harry Potter” movies and is also steeped in history. The journey features incredible scenery from start to finish. 

DAY 7 After a morning exploring fascinating Inverary’s 19th Century Prison and 18th Century multi turreted gothic Castle and gardens, we will return to Edinburgh. On route we will visit the unique and memorable engineering spectacle of the “Falkirk wheel” and the worlds largest equine statues, “The Kelpies”.

DAY 8 Edinburgh and check out Check out and transfer to airport or your next destination.
