Tour operator and guide was very focused on the current political situation in Mexico and spent at least 25 of the tour's narrative sharing his opinions on Mexico's political parties. Very disappointing! While the divers were fun to watch, they were more interested in selling their wares that making connections with tour participants. The best part of the tour by far was the turtle release! Participating in this simple yet significant event was worth it. However, this could have been done without all the time driving through back streets of Acapulco. The guide kept saying there was no need to take photos, as he was taking photos and videos of all activities and promised to send all participants a download link for free. Needless to say, I believed him...a total lie! While he quietly collected everyone's emails for his personal use...nothing was ever sent...hence we have no photos. Finally, the last stop was at a beach restaurant...approximately a mile for the cruise ship. No one on the tour was given an option of not attending the restaurant and returning directly to the ship. Since this tour catered specifically to the cruise ship and all participants having dinning for free on board...it was just another way of creating an opportunity to force the collection of money for local businesses. The food was inexpensive and fine as most local restaurants go. Aside from the turtle release, this is not a tour I would recommend. My wife and I have visited many places in Mexico over the years, and this one just confirmed sadly how Mexico's struggles continue.

ACAPULCO 6 HOUR TOUR. This Tour was great, Jose and Beto our guides were awesome and made the experience very informative and lots of fun! My favorite part of the tour was the baby turtle release and the walking tour to the market, it was Astonishing, to say the least, particularly the witch Doctor visit. Loved the divers and the history, we never felt rush so we could experience more. Beto and Jose were very patient with all our photo taking and brought us to an amazing restaurant for lunch. I highly recommend taking any of his tours, they are great guides and will make your visit that much better which I didn't think was possible, it is amazing here. Thank you Jose and Beto !!

We were among the first off of our cruise ship the Norwegian Pearl. Met by our driver Roman and were taken through the congested downtown area by some expert driving to our first destination to release baby turtles. We hit a manhole cover that wasn't fully in place and it hit the underside or our car. No harm done, but noticed on the way back that it was about 10 yards or so away from the exposed hole. Quite a safety hazard to say the least. The turtle release was great and we each had two sea turtles make it to the water safely. Donated a couple dollars to the charity organization running the release program, great cause. The Chapel of Peace was our next destination. We had to climb a little bit to get to the chapel and enjoyed the tremendous view of Acapulco Bay. Standing next to the cross and the two hands sculpture we heard the story how the chapel came to be. It was dedicated to the two sons of the family that owns the land, that perished in an airplane crash. The chapel is non-denominational, and welcoming to all faiths. Our next visit was to a local market that extended for a few blocks in each direction. A Diego Rivera mural was our next stop. Enjoyed his tremendous work. Took a quick visit to a condominium complex known for its great views, and took some pictures of the bay looking south. Watched the divers at La Quebrada from a restaurant/bar perch and marveled at their bravery and skill. They prayed at a chapel erected at the top prior to diving into 11 feet of water. Each diver made it and waved to let us know they were ok after coming to the surface. Our last stop was for lunch at a beachside restaurant. Very good food ordered by all. Busy place on a Sunday, but heh we are on vacation. Took us to our ship in plenty of time and picked up some local souvenirs. Highly recommend taking this tour to get a first impression of Acapulco that you won't forget and inspire you to go back for another look in the future.
