Day 1: Accra Pick-up, Bead Factory

Stop At: Shai Hills Resource Reserve, Akosombo-Tema Rd Ghana
Morning pick-up in an air-conditioned vehicle: Accra location of your choice

Depart on a scenic drive through the Accra plains towards the Volta River. Watch for the baboons along the road as we are passing Shai Hills. Visit at a bead workshop near the Volta River to watch this interesting handcraft. Enjoy a relaxing moment at a nearby hilltop with a grand view of the river & dam

Day 2: Volta River, Akosombo Dam,

Stop At: Aburi Botanical Gardens, Aburi 32km (20mi) north of Accra, Accra Ghana
Motorboat the Akosombo dam, holding the world's 2nd largest man-made lake. Explore the Tetteh Quarshie cocoa farm, Ghana's first cocoa farm, est. in 1879.

Visit the Aburi Botanical Gardens, Ghana's most beautiful garden that offers a rich collection of tropical flora which attracts many birds and butterflies.

Bicycle rentals are available for an extra fee or hike among the many trails.
