About this activity
09:00HRS - Depart your Hotel to commence the tour of Accra to and through the following destinations:
• Visit the Dubois Centre for Pan-African Culture in Cantonment.
• Driving via the Danquah Circle, part of the Ring Road and the Liberation Road, you will see the Makola Market (the largest open market in Accra). Get to enjoy its buzzing atmosphere.
• Continue to tour the Old Accra townships such as British Accra, Dutch Accra, Brazilian Lane, Danish Accra , etc.
• Also visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and Park dedicated to the memory of Ghana’s first president and the African of the millennium.
• The Art & Craft Centre with the largest collection of craft will next be visited and it is a good place to buy textiles both made and unmade, wood carvings etc.
• We will continue to the Victoriasborg District of Accra to explore the Black Star Square, Independence Square, Christianborg Castle area, among others.
• Lunch (at your expense)
• Continue with visits to the Woodin iconic textile showroom and Global Mama Shop at Osu.
• Drive past the Flagstaff House Presidential Palace, 37 and other residential areas of the city
• Get to also visit Accra’s first and most popular Mall.
