Ahmedabad Private Tour Including Akshardham Temple, Stepwell & Sabarmati Ashram

Your Ahmedabad tour package will begin at 09.00 am with pick up from your hotel in Ahmedabad. Undertake the sightseeing starting with visit to Akshardham Temple located 20 kms away from Ahmedabad in Gandhinagar city. The grand temple is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayana with an impressive architecture made of intricately carved stone and manicured gardens. It features five separate halls having over 200 idols of Hindu Gods. The temple complex also houses an exhibition hall with displays reflecting central ideas of Hindu culture and values.

 The next visit will be to one of the most famous mosques of Ahmedabad ‘Sidi Saiyyed Mosque’. The divine mosque flaunts magnificent architecture of being in the shape of an arc. You can see beautiful artwork in the mosque including the main attraction ‘Tree of Life’ praised highly by visitors. The lattice stone window is also adopted by reputed Indian Institute of Ahmedabad as the symbol.

Take a break and relish delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

We will continue our excursion visiting the next site ‘Hutheesing Jain Temple’. It is an impressive Jain temple dedicated to 15th Jain Tirthankar, Dharmanatha. ‘Sabarmati Ashram’ is another interesting site located on the banks of Sabarmati River. The ashram (now a national monument) was home of Mahatma Gandhi for about 12 years and also served as headquarter during the struggle for Indian independence. The ashram has serene atmosphere rimmed by greenery, fluttering birds and an enchanting river view of Sabarmati.

The final visit will be to ‘Adalaj Step Well’, which is seven stories deep built by Rana Veer Singh. The step-well turns relatively cool as you proceed downstairs. Even in the heat of scorching sun, it offers cool atmosphere to relax in summers.

The Ahmedabad city tour package will terminate after this and you will be dropped safely back to your hotel.
