Private Full-Day Tour of Ahmedabad With Calico Museum and Gandhi Ashram

Meet your driver in your hotel lobby at 9.30am, then travel first to the Calico Museum of Textile where you will be accompanied by your museum guide, who will take you on a 2-hour tour. You will see various samples of textiles representing different Indian states and covering regional Indian costumes. All is covered, from techniques of weaving and dyeing cloth, to an adjoining gallery containing Indian paintings and sacred bronzes from south India.

At the end of the tour, enjoy tea and refreshments provided by the museum office.

Proceed for lunch (at own expense) at a local restaurant around 12:30pm, then visit the Gandhi Ashram on the Sabarmati riverfront. Here you will cover multiple areas inside the complex, including the museum covering the memories and history of Gandhi.

The rest of your afternoon will take you to the Hutheesing Jain Temple with its courtyard and large dome and the Adalaj Stepwell, a five story well with three entrance stairs.

At the end of your journey at 5pm, sit back and relax on your drive back to your hotel in Ahmedabad.
