3 days 2 nights Road Trip thru The Rift Valley

DAY ONE
................
We will begin our road trip by car from Addis Ababa, heading south towards the town of Debre zeit, to make out first stop. Here we will visit crater lakes, witness the local culture and grab a cup of coffee or tea.

The town of Ziway, which sits about 1 1/2 hours drive south from Modjo and adjacent to Lake Langano will be our lunch stop. You will witness the landscape, meet the people and their way of life on the way. Haile Resort in Ziway, owned by the world famous Ethiopian runner/athlete Haile Gebre Selassie, serves the best and fresh fish dish in town. After lunch, we will cruise for 20 minutes in the town, exploring lake langano and local market. Our follow-up destination will be a resort in Lake Langano.

The resort provides access to the lake as well as food and beverage service. We will spend 45 - 60 minutes, enjoying the calm sights and relaxing environment, before we resume of journey towards further south.

The town of Shashemane will be our final stop, where we will lodge for the night.

DAY TWO

We meet at the hotel reception at 9 am. The day's activities will include a visit to Wondo Genet Resort, about 20 minutes from downtown and the town of Hawassa. The resort visit will include nature walk, sight seeing, wildlife observation and local culture immersion. We expect to be in the resort for 90 minutes - 120 minutes, before heading out to our next destination, Shashemane town.

Shashemane is best known for its Ras Tafarian community. We will visit the Lion of Judah Museum, engage with locals, visit the local market. We will be spontaneous within our schedule as we cruise around town, before heading to the neighboring town of Hawassa, a 30 minutes drive south.

We will break for lunch once in Hawassa before heading for Lake Hawassa to enjoy the beautiful view of the water, mountains and local birds. You can also take a boat ride if you like. Following the visit to the Lake, we will cruise around town, sight seeing the local market and attractions, before heading back to Shashemane for the night, expecting to arrive at the hotel around 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. You can also experience the nightlife if you would like.

DAY THREE

We will start by late morning, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m, for Addis Ababa with stops on the way. Our road plan will be unique this time, cutting through Ziway, then heading towards Butajira before orienting towards Addis Ababa. We will have a smooth drive because this particular road is almost brand new with little commercial traffic. This is a beautiful drive and view.

We expect to arrive in Addis by early evening, 5 p.m. - 6 p.m, and your hotel, after a safe and sound enjoyable experience through Ethiopia's Rift Valley. Thank you!
