Stop At: Debre Libanos Monastery, North West of Addis Ababa Seimien Shewa Zone of Oromia Region, Debre Libanos 1000 Ethiopia

Your tour begins with morning pickup from your Addis Ababa hotel. Head into the Entoto Mountains and admire views as your driver navigates the twisting mountain road. When you reach the Entoto summit, snap some photos and enjoy free time at a vista point. Then, continue to Debre Libanos monastery; tour the historic churches and visit the attached museum. When you’re done looking around, eat lunch at a restaurant with views of the Jemma River Gorge (included). After eating, walk to Ras Darge’s Bridge, also known as the Portuguese Bridge—a historical bridge popular for its views of the surrounding valley. Time permitting, you might visit the Blue Nile Gorge, climb the St. Teklehaimanot cave, and visit with Oromo people to learn more about everyday life in the mountains. Tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.
