Itinerary

Day 1: Bahir-Dar, Lake Tuna and Blue Nile Falls.

Stop At: Bahir Dar Market, Papyrus Hotel The Opposite Of Millinium Cafe, Bahir Dar 1000 Ethiopia
After arriving in Bahir-Dar, Escape Into Ethiopia tours help our clients touring to visit Lake Tana, largest Lake of Ethiopia. It forms the main reservoir for the Blue Nile (Abbay) River, which drains its southern extremity near Bahir Dar. Explore the islands and peninsulas of Lake Tana are most conveniently approached by boat from Bahir Dar on the southern side of the lake. In this day, you will have a boat cruise over Lake Tana to visit the ancient island monasteries of Lake Tana, including Ura Kidane Mihirte, Azewa Maryam and the Zegi Peninsula. Day 2: Explore Gonar

Stop At: Fasil Ghebbi, Gonder Ethiopia
As the third most popular attraction site in Ethiopia, Gondar offers endless opportunities to uncover 17th centuries history. It is known for the walled Fasil Ghebi and palace compound, once it was the seat of Ethiopian emperors. Outside the Fasil castle complex, Debre Berhan Selasssie church is an attraction, with an interior of elaborate murals. Including a ceiling of Angles face, Gondar is also famed for its buzzing nightlife and traditional cuisine. Day 3: Visit ancient city of Axum

Day 4: 11: Excursion around the underground churches of King Lalibela

Stop At: Rock-Hewn Churches of Lalibela, Lalibela 1260 Ethiopia
Lalibela is also called: Jerusalem of Africa” as the amazingly excavated underground churches resemble some churches in Israel. These amazing churches were excavated from one Solid volcanic rock in the beginning of 12th century. And we will use the day exploring every one of them, visiting the Northwestern Cluster of churches - Bet Medhane Alem, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, Bet Danaghel, and Bet Mikael & Bet Golgotha. After lunch, continue southeastern cluster including Bete Gabriel & Rufael, Bete Merkorios, Bete Emanuel, Bete Libanos and at the last we will go to the elegant church of Saint George—the big cross-shaped one.
At the end of the day, you will participate in a cultural music and traditional drink called Tej- pure honey wine.

Day 5: Addis Ababa city tours

Stop At: Addis Mercato, Kenya St Addis Ketema, Addis Ababa Ethiopia
Fly from Lalibela to Addis Ababa Take the morning flight and arrive in Addis Ababa midday and you will have free time to do some shopping or sightseeing including the Merkato, said to be Africa’s largest market of its kind, and do shopping.
In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner at one of the famous cultural restaurants.
