1.5-Hour Barossa Valley Horse Ride: Up & Over the Hill

About this activity

When you arrive at Barossa Horse Riding, you will be greet by one of our friendly staff. We then ask you to fill in a little paperwork and after a quick chat take you out to the horses. Once we are out with the horses, we will show you how to get on and off your horse plus learn how to ask the horses to move forward, steer and stop.
We will take you on a journey through our family property sharing information about our vineyard. There will be plenty of opportunity to take photos! We always encourage this as its a nice take home to share with family and friends!
Once we are back at the yards, we will show you how to get off your horse again and allow you some time to take some more photos if you wish, and share some time patting your horse.

All riders weights and heights MUST be advised at time of booking
Age restrictions: Ages 10 years and under 70
Health and weight restrictions: At least 130 cm or taller. Under 90 kg – please call to discuss if your slightly over. Not recovering from surgery, pregnant or have a recent injury.
Helmets: All riders must wear an Australian Standard helmet, of which we will supply and fit to each individual person. If you own a helmet and chose to bring it along, it must meet the Australian Standards and not be more than 5 years old.
Footwear and Clothing: Enclosed flat soled shoes, t-shirt/polo or long sleeved shirt. Long pants to we worn (No 3/4 pants or shorts). No thongs or sandal’s. We have the right to refuse you to ride, should you not have the correct clothing and footwear.
Surprises and Proposals: If the tour is a surprise or a wedding proposal, please advise us of the special occasion so that we can best coordinate with you to make it a special time.
Weather: Barossa Horse Riding reserves the right to change tours due to weather conditions or other operational considerations. Our decision is final – regardless of the occasion. The health and safety of our horses, staff and clients are our number 1 priority.
