Victoria Square: Your tour will depart from the centre and heart of the CBD - Victoria Square. Under the watchful eye of the statue of Queen Victoria of which Adelaide's largest city square was named.
The Adelaide Central Market: We’ll sweep through the grand Victorian era buildings of Adelaide's judicial district to your first stop, the highly acclaimed Adelaide Central Market. This is a must see spot for any serious foodie, home to some of SA's finest fresh food grocers and food and beverage brands. As we slowly roll by, your tastebuds will be tantalised by the smells of fresh bread, roasted coffee and rich aromas of a diversity of world food that wafts from the market entrances onto Gouger Street.
Gouger Street & China Town: You’ll traverse the west city strip that is home to largest concentration of Adelaide's finest Asian restaurants with a vast variety of offerings from Vietnamese Pho, spicy Sichuan to top notch Teppanyaki. Your local host will hook turn into this street's heart, Moonta Street - better known as Chinatown. Briefly taking in the intricate details of the Pafang gates that frame the famous street, peering into the bustling asian food grocers and internet cafes then zipping off again deeper into the the south-west quarter of the city.
South-west Quarter: Coined by locals as Adelaide’s Beirut quarter, this area is home to a large number of green-minded and grassroots organisations, a colourful community of residents, artisans and business owners, amazing public art murals, several notable buildings of worship including SA's first mosque and award winning cafes like Cafe Troppo and My Kingdom for a Horse.
Adelaide South Parklands: As you and your host venture further south in near silence on our electric-assisted EcoCaddy you will start to notice the sound of the local bird life and suddenly the urbanity that surrounded you will cease to exist. You gaze in awe of the sheer vastness of green that lays before you - welcome to Adelaide’s South Parklands. You’ll wind through the narrow tracks of Veale Gardens and its landscape’s subtle undulations, observing the local fauna as it waddles past you within arms reach and notice the perfumes of the large variety of lush rose bushes.
