Chambal River Safari from Agra

This tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Agra where you will begin your drive to Chambal.

The Chambal safari is a fine instance of eco-friendly tourism in rural India and provides the chance to witness the rich heritage and wildlife legacy set against an arid backdrop. Following lunch, continue to the ancient temple complex at Bateshwar on the river Yamuna, 10 kilometres from Chambal, consisting of more than a hundred temples dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva. 

A huge cattle fair is held here every year during the months of October and November. This is also the time when devotees congregate here in large numbers to worship Lord Shiva and take holy dips in the River Yamuna. Enjoy a boat ride along the temple ghats and enjoy local tea at one of the terraces overlooking the quaint temple town.

After your visit to Bateshwar, you will return to Agra and will be dropped back to your hotel.
