About this activity
At your selected departure time, set out for your walking tour that offers a different picture of the city— bells chiming in the temples, sweet vendors selling the mouthwatering delicacies, office goers in a rush and little kids with heavy bags off to school.

The Taj Mahal is unquestionably the biggest reason why people visit Agra but there is so much more to see. Your walk begins from the Agra railway station and the first stop in this 3-hour long trail will be Jama Masjid— commonly known as “Friday Mosque”. Offer prayers at Jama Masjid, a large mosque attributed to Shah Jahan's daughter, Princess Jahanara Begum. The Jama Masjid overlooks the Agra Fort railway station but stands opposite to Agra Fort.

After scouting the narrow yet intriguing lanes of the Agra, also known as the land of palaces, interact with an old family who will share some very enthralling tales. Enhance this exotic experience by visiting the ancient Manka Meshwar temple. Manka Meshwar temple in Agra is one of the ancient temples in the city that is devoted to Lord Shiva, where the Shivalinga was incarnated by Lord Shiva.

Proceed into narrow lanes selling articles used for adornment of images of Gods & Goddesses, visit the wholesale spice market, Rawatpara, a wholesale market for grains, pulses, spices, etc. The best place to buy the famous Agra Petha (sweet dish made out of ash gourd) is Rawatpara.

On the way, see the early morning bustle at the shoe mandi in Johri Bazar, the only street of Ayurvedic doctors, the paan (betel leaf), the petha mandi, and the food street of Seth Gali.

Your walking tour ends at the Agra Fort railway station.
