Today, a chauffeur driven car will pick you from your city hotel. You are invited to a private residence of a local family in Agra. Get set to don your chef hats and enjoy a cooking demonstration with the host family. Renowned as an architectural splendour of the intricate mausoleums and lush green gardens, Agra is a vivid reminder of the opulence of Mughal Empire in India. And it is this Mughal connection which richly reflects on Agra’s cuisine. Dominated by the myriad of kebabs, kormas and curries, Agra is an eclectic mix of North Indian and Mughlai cuisines. Enjoy a traditional cooking session with a native family who will talk about the staple food, spices and different variations possible to make one single dish. Witness the play of spices and aromas and try your hands at making chapattis (unleavened Indian bread). After the cooking demonstration, relish a delicious meal with the host family. Later, you will be driven back to your hotel.
