Private Food Tasting Tour in Agra

With a choice of departure times throughout the day, you will be picked up from your Agra hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle for this 1- 2-hour tour. Your guide will then take you to your first stop – Rambabu Paratha Bhandar, which opened in 1930. Paratha is a flat, round snack made up of wheat flour and filled with either vegetables, cottage cheese, or spices. With almost 85 years’ experience, this eatery offers around 16 varieties of Parathas served with two types of curries, chutney, and pickles.

Next, head to Mama Chicken House – a famous foodie spot among the locals that’s also affectionately known as the 'paradise for kebab lovers'. It offers about 50 varieties of both meat and vegetarian dishes, including kebabs, roti, chicken, mutton, and vegetable rolls, plus paneer, chicken and mutton tikkas. 

Your next stop will allow you to sample the famous Agra chaat. Chaat Gali offers around 40-45 varieties of chaat, but is most famous for its 'Agra Special'. If you have the appetite, you can sample pani puri, aloo chaat, aloo tikki, pav bhaji, dahi papdi chaat, dahi gunjiya, bhel puri, and many more.

The final destination on this food tour is Deviram Sweet Shop, where you can choose from around 60 different varieties of Indian traditional sweets for dessert. Deviram Sweets is a 70-year-old sweet shop, well-known for the quality of its products. 

The tour concludes with all guests receiving a gift box of petha, a traditional sweet originating from Agra that’s prepared from the fresh pumpkin grown on the banks of the river Yamuna. You will then be dropped off at your hotel to digest all that delicious food.
