This Provence full-day tour in Avignon is the ideal opportunity to discover the main sites of the region.
You will meet your guide at the tourist office in Aix-en-Provence. You will leave at 9am in a minivan with air conditioning and comfortable seats. The trip to Avignon takes one hour.
Once arrived you will explore the historic center of the city and discover the Popes's Palace, listed as a Unesco World Heritage site. In the 14th century, the Popes used to live in Avignon. Two of them built this massive fortress which houses 20 rooms where you can admire incredible Italian frescoes.
Then you will see the well-known Pont d'Avignon, listed as a world Heritage site by UNESCO.

After Avignon, you will enjoy a drive through the Alpilles national park. Les Alpilles national park possesses the most typical landscapes in Provence: rocky mountains, olive trees, sunflower and lavender fields, vineyards, and two of the most charming and picturesque villages Saint Rémy de Provence and les Baux de Provence.
The next stop of the day will be the well-known Pont du Gard, a monumental bridge, former Roman aqueduct, set in an environment of rare beauty.
