About this activity
Itinerary

We meet at “Gamli Múlavegur”, or the old road to Múli, and from there we walk an old gravel road uphill that was the road passed the mountain Múlafjall. This road was used for daily traffic before the tunnel Múlagöng was made in 1992.

It is no longer passable by car but gives great access for hikers to hike along this beautiful mountain Múlafjall. We stop at Múlaplan where we have a beautiful scenery over the north sea, fjord Eyjafjörður and Ólafsfjörður, island Hrísey and Grímsey (which is known for being the northernmost settlement in Iceland,) and Hvanndalabjarg (which is the highest sea cliff (630 m), in Iceland), located at the other side of fjord Ólafsfjörður. We will see the midnight sunset if the sky is clear and have some Iceland Moss Tea.
