After pick up from the hotel in the early morning hours, head to the city of Denizli, passing through the Taurus mountain chain. Stop for breakfast in a local, family-owned restaurant.
Upon arrival, start exploring the ancient city of Hierapolis, a health resort during Roman times, with Roman baths, a basilica, a gymnasium, and a beautifully renovated theatre on a hill. Following the guided tour, you'll have free time to check out the ancient necropolis, which contains more than 1,000 ancient sarcophaguses.
Next, you'll experience the waters that Hierapolis was founded to take advantage of: soak in warm pools that command sweeping views of the landscape, with the option to purchase access to the Cleopatra Pool.
