Private trip to banana country with Anamurium ancient city and Mamure fortress from Alanya

During the trip along the sea to Anamur (full of serpentines), you will see amazing views. You will ride down the banana plantations, on the other side having the Mediterranean Sea. If you wish you may stop to buy some freshly picked up bananas. After 3 hours journey you will reach the gates of the ancient city of Anamurium.

It is a place for people that are fascinated with the history, as beautiful as Ephesus but not that crowded which mean you can freely visit the ancient monuments. Most of the monuments are remaining from the Roman and Byzantine Empire times. You can enter beautiful theater or territory of huge public baths where mosaics are still remaining. On the hills of Anamurium, there is necropolis with different size and shape tombs, between which you will be able to vacillate.

After sightseeing, it’s time for delicious lunch in Anamur in a restaurant with the view of the city. After the lunch, if you feel like it, you will be able to go the beach and have the possibility to swim in the Mediterranean Sea.

Then you will head to the located nearby Mamure Castle. The castle from Seljuq dynasty still has its 36 towers. You will be able to walk down the defensive walls and terrific towers, and even watch the sea turtles in the remaining of the fosse. After sightseeing, you will go the same way back to the hotel.
