SAND CITY, in Lagoa, is currently the largest sand sculpture festival in the world. It is also considered one of the best theme parks in the Algarve for being unique and different, occupying an area of 6 hectares, building by more than 60 artists from the several continents coming to carve about 50,000 tons of sand.
Over the last 16 years, Prosandart has held what was the largest sand sculpture festival in the world, FIESA, which is now giving way to SAND CITY, the great news of this summer in the Algarve.
At SAND CITY you will be able to travel with us by a "Around the World in Sand" experience through the continents and learn about its traditions, nature, history, art, culture, gastronomy, cinema, sports, music and all the imagery related to travel and travelers.
In addition to this fun experience of going around the world we still offer other activities such as the children's playground, the water mirror, sand sculpture workshops and other art forms, various challenges and hobbies and a program of activities consisting of shows, concerts and animations.
And if during the day you can appreciate all the detail of the sculptures and take the best photograph of your holiday’s in the Algarve, at night you can see the set of indirect lights that make this experience fantastic.
