Reach the Vallenostra cheese farm in Mongiardino Ligure, located in the Alta Val Borbera and famous for the production of the Montebore, a cheese made from cow and sheep milk. Montebore, whose production dates back to the Middle Ages, is patronized by the Slow Food Presidium which protects small producers of gastronomic excellence. During this tour, you'll discover all the stages of the production of Montebore and other local cheeses such as Borberina and Mollana. After an introductory explanation, you'll experience for yourself the assembly of the Montebore form.After that, there will be time for cheese tasting paired with a glass of Timorasso, made from a native white grape variety of the Borbera and Curone Valleys.At the end of the tour, you can visit the sheep barn.
