This trip is NOT for beginners or anyone not in excellent physical condition. Minimal instructions or review of safety procedures was provided . Both kayak and hiking were fast paced with no time for resting in five hours. Hike was 100% uphill, with poor trail conditions, lots of rocks and very steep in places. I am an experienced hiker and couldn’t keep up the fast pace with a small group of five. I did not make it to the top. Guide offered little insight into area, needs to learn how to guide and lead a group. Also, she was not helpful to my friend who had concerns about her knees and needing assistance to get in/out of kayak. Given the Guide’s response to her concerns, my friend decided not to go on the trip. It is beautiful place though and if you are fit, can kayak and are a strong hiker, go for it.
