Master the flavors of Sardinian cuisine—like al dente gnochetti Sardi doused in savory lamb ragu and bruschetta topped with bright, sun-ripened tomatoes—during this hands-on cooking class. Learn about typical local ingredients, and then sit down to share your meal along with regional wines at a beautiful country farmhouse outside of Alghero.
Make your way a few minutes out of town to a farmhouse in the countryside, where you're welcomed in by your friendly hosts and led into the kitchen. Immerse yourself in the Sardinian way of life as you're introduced to gourmet products and locally grown ingredients, from fresh fish and vegetables from the market to grassy, peppery olive oil from Puglia.
Then, roll up your sleeves and start cooking, learning to prepare dishes like bruschetta with tomatoes, creamy cheese and arugula, and vegetable fritters. After a first course of gnocchi with lamb ragu, prepare a flavorful plate of scallops with lemon and roasted potatoes with rosemary. Finally, whip up something to satisfy your sweet tooth with a soft cheese-based dessert flavored with a hint of orange.

Irene and Igor are a lovely couple and total foodies. We had a great time learning how to make the various pasta from tagliatelle to raviolis. we tasted Igors' home produced wine which is excellent. we highly recommend this cooking class, its well worth the detour and the ambiance is casual and convivial.

My husband and I had a fantastic time learning how to make various pastas and about Sardinian culture. Our host family was warm and inviting. Their farmhouse is gorgeous. We toured their property including their small winery and sampled their delicious wine. This is an experience we will cherish!

We had an amazing dinner with Irene. She taught us how to create two types of pasta and a zucchini breading then served an amazing dinner on the patio by the pool. We also got to taste some of her homemade wine from the property. This was a highlight of our Sardinian Trip.

Wonderful day in a beautiful location. Fun relaxed class making pasta and learning the basics of Italian cuisine followed by delicious late lunch all under the friendly and welcoming eyes of Irene.
