It was here, that an important battle against the Crusaders was fought. Return to Amman for an overnight stay.

If the weather will be clear, it will be possible to see the Mount of Olives, Jericho and the roofs of Jerusalem. Then, you will descend to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, for a short swim and lunch. You will then continue through the King’s Highway Petra for an overnight stay.
Day 4 • Petra – Wadi Rum – Amman
After breakfast, you're off for a 7:00am visit to Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World as of 2007. Your tour begins by the Siq, then, off to the Treasury, Street of Facades, Royal Tombs, Roman Theater and the Byzantine Church. At midday, you will head to the magnificent Desert of Wadi Rum, for a two hour Jeep tour. Also known as The Valley of the Moon, this is a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock in south Jordan. In the West, Wadi Rum may be best known for its connection with British officer T. E. Lawrence, which described it as "Vast, echoing and God-like". Afternoon drive to Amman for an overnight stay.
Day 5 • Amman (City Tour) – Desert Castles – Amman
Have breakfast, then have an 8:00am drive around the city of Amman, which many people call the "city of contrasts". You will visit the Citadel, the Roman Theatre and the Archaeological Museum. You'll then head to Azraq for a visit to the fortress, which was developed by the Mamelukes in the 13th century. The fortress was built using basalt, which is why it looks darker than any other fortress. Azraq is but one of the Desert Castles you'll be visiting. Others include Qasr Amra and Kharanah, both used by the Ummayads as hunting lodges in the 8th Century. After, you'll return to Amman for an overnight stay.

The 5 Night 6 day highlights of Jordan experience surpassed my expectations. I was awed by the beauty of Jordan along with the ever friendly Jordanians I had the honor to meet. The tour operator, Allure Tours and Travel provided a first class experience from start to finish. My friend and I were met at the airport before customs to guide us through the visa process, after which we were introduced to our driver for the week. Bassam was a fountain of information besides being both courteous and punctual at all times. If we had an extra errand, he knew just where to take us. Bassam has been driving for nearly two decades and knows everybody and everything. This made the experience far more personal as we had numerous opportunities to interact with the locals. As I stated, Jordan is beyond spectacular and pictures provide only a glimpse into the reality of what you will see. Petra gets all the glory as a must do, and without a doubt, it deserves its accolade as one of the seven wonders of the modern world. However, I was simply blown away by the beauty and magnitude of the ancient Roman city of Jerash. Nothing I saw in Rome compares to this ancient city, simply because of its size. Rome has beautiful ruins of course, but has been built over and over again throughout the centuries. Jerash was never built over so allows you to imagine what it must have been like to live there. What is more mind boggling is that in its hey day it occupied 800,000 square meters within its walls so still has considerable real estate yet to be unearthed! Wadi Rum was also included in this tour and proved to be a spectacular destination of natural wonder. One of the best things offered on this tour was a chance to eat dinner with a local family in Wadi Musa. How welcoming this family was to two strangers. Here our tour manager also met us to ensure everything was meeting our expectations. Ramsy and Bassam love their country and so enjoyed sharing their culture and history with us. I HIGHLY recommend this tour which truly covers everything about Jordan you can imagine and more.
