Day 01: Arrive Amritsar & Enjoy a visit to Wagah Border
Catch flight from Delhi to Amritsar early in the morning. Your pick-and-drop will be scheduled from your Delhi hotel (You would be Pick up between 09:00 - 09:30 AM) to Delhi airport. Our driver will receive you from Amritsar airport and will transfer to booked hotel in Amritsar. Check-in and spend some time taking rest.
At 3 pm, get ready to leave for Wagah-Attari Border to watch Flag Lowering (aka Beating Retreat) ceremony. It is a military exercise held daily between India and Pakistan as a gesture of healthy relationship and cooperation. The event is power-packed with energetic audience. The military exercise is combined by dancelike maneuvers. Watch the entire event from VIP gallery valid for foreign nationals only. After 45 minutes long event we will get back to the hotel. Enjoy overnight stay.
Day 02: Amritsar City Tour & Transfer to the airport (B)
Relish the breakfast and then check-out from the hotel to begin sightseeing of the day. You will be taken to ‘Golden temple’ the most important religious site of Sikhs.
It is a beautiful Temple established by fourth Sikh guru Guru Ram das ji. The architecture of the temple flaunts intricate work of gold-leaf on upper part of the holy temple. Walk on neat marble concourse of the temple and enjoy the serene location surrounded by water tank. Once entered the temple, head should be covered by a cloth. The sanctum of the temple consist of Sikh scripture Guru Grantha Sahib, is read daily as a ritual. Just across the sanctum lies a 4-storeyed building named Akal Takht where the scripture is placed for night. Of all four Takhts this is the supreme one. Pay obeisance to God and then move ahead for next attraction ‘Jallianwala Bagh’.
Jallianwala Bagh is a memorial and historical monument comprising of Martyrs Well and walls carrying marks of bullets since 1919. Then head towards famous local market Hall Bazaar located in its proximity. It is famous for selling ornaments, electronic devices, books, etc being sold at reasonable prices.
After interesting sightseeing of Amritsar bid adieu to the city boarding flight to Delhi from Amritsar airport. On your arrival at Delhi airport, our driver will receive and drop at your hotel in Delhi.
