Amsterdam City Sightseeing Tour (Morning):
Your day starts with a city tour of the beautiful city of Amsterdam. Zaanse Schans Windmills, Marken and Volendam Half-Day Trip (Afternoon):
Travel through the Dutch countryside to Zaanse Schans, a well-known windmill village. After a stop for photos of the windmills continue to the world-famous fishing villages of Volendam and Marken. See charming wooden houses and locals wearing colorful traditional clothes. During the afternoon you will also visit a clog-maker to see how the traditional wooden shoes are made, and visit a Dutch cheese factory, where you will see a demonstration of how cheese is made.

My husband I recently spent a day and one half in Amsterdam prior to boarding a 12 day Baltics cruise. Being seniors and having a spouse with some walking issues I chose this motor coach tour through the city and several country side towns. I was not disappointed. Viator's contact in Amsterdam was Lindberg Travels, located in the Central Station. A beautiful double decker motor coach was ours for the day. We were escorted at times by three guides, Desemina, Natallia and Danilo. They very efficiently kept track of everyone and made sure we all heard what was being said. They also translated for those that needed it. I was most impressed by there concern and care for those that walked slower or had trouble with stairs. The tour consisted of Diamond Factory visit A boat trip on the Ijsselmeer Visit to an authentic Dutch windmill + demonstration by the miller Visit of the traditional fishing village Marken + demonstration by a clog maker The Cheese Factory + the Old Dutch Bakery in Volendam. Lunch was at our own in Volendam Harbor at a delightful fish and chips restaurant called DE LUNCH Havenrestaurant . Our waiter, Brian gave us excellent service and had us served in the time allotted for the stop. I certainly recommend this tour.... especially with our limited time in Amsterdam and senior entry level. Greaat tour!
I wasn't informed that there will be a two hours break after the City tour trip that starts at 9 am . And the other tour to the country side starts only at 2.20pm. No mention that we are going to spend time at the diamond center too during the city tour.
A lot to do and sea in Amsterdam and the other places we visited. Nice sites, pleasant guides and very occupied.
What a fun day! We saw everything that we wanted to see and the guides were great! Definitely, a must do!!
