Our trip from Amsterdam to Giethoorn was very interesting and entertaining. Our guide Said was very professional. He provided very useful information about the area and its history. He made our day worth the time we invested for the tour. Thanks Said!

The worst tour i had ever fisrt time of Depature delayed second we were squeezed in small little van who apparently a family so the driver was talking all the time to who was sitting beside him and ignoring us and after several calls we managed to have private car to take us back

Have never seen such a pretty place ever. Everything looks like picture postcard. Would highly recommend to hire a boat and cruise on your own at leisure. The boats are easily available. Multiple eating options are available. If you want to reboot your mind, hire a cottage for 7 days which are available. The tour guide could have made the commentary interesting. Also didn't like her pushing to eat at her recommended place when there are so many options. Would like her to learn how to make the trip to such a nice place more interesting.

This was a wonderful small group (6) tour to the lovely village of Giethoorn. Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and provided lots of information about the area. He commandeered a small boat for the 7 of us to tour the canals of Giethoorn. We were given lots of time to then wander around on foot and have lunch. It was a very cute village but being early May I was a bit disappointed there weren't more flowers to make the village look more like the advertising pictures. All in all a good day trip.

Tour members were picked up at different points, causing some delay with departure. The minibus was very cold going to and returning from Giethoorn. It is quite a long trip, and the guide indicated once that we were below sea level. Apart from that, there was no information given on the countryside, the crops we saw, or anything else. Once there, the boat trip was informative and interesting. We waited very long for one tour member to return to the van. She was not going back to Amsterdam with the tour but staying behind in Giethoorn. The guide and his friend kept us waiting for her, as she had promised him a tip. We eventually drove back to Amsterdam, once again with no commentary. I would not recommend this daytrip from Amsterdam.

Giethoorn is the perfect day trip from Amsterdam: we depart from Amsterdam at 10:30, were back to Amsterdam around 6:30, with lots of good memories.I enjoyed this day trip, it gives you escaping the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam.Sayid is an excellent tour guide. Experienced, knowledgeable, positive, helpfull. He gave us so many information on the road to Giethroon about the history of the Netherlands. When we just left Amsterdam, he got a phone from someone in Giethroon. He told the river was frozen; so, boat tour was unavailable. That’s why, Sayid offered to go to Zaanse Schans, which was an excellent idea. We spent 1 and a half hour in Zaanse Schans, i think the time was enough for Zaanse Schans, and then we went to Giethroon. We had a lunch there and still had enough time to walk around Giethroon.I would recommed this tour to everyone, especially the tour with Sayid :) Thanks again to Sayid for being such a great host :)

A very well-run tour. Said was an excellent, knowledgeable guide. The vehicle was large and comfortable. I loved the long drive to Giethoorn it was a wonderful study in Dutch geography and agriculture. Giethoorn itself was very cute. We had the optional lunch which was tasty and a good value. Even with this, we had lots and lots of time to explore the village. The one down side, especially for a small-group tour, was that the boat for the canal tour was nearly full of random tourists not in our group when we boarded. We were packed into the few remaining seats, and some of our group seemed to be sitting on the gunwales.

We had an amazing time with this tour. Our guide Mika from Cherry Tours and Travels was extremely good..He was funny, knowledgable and engaging. This is a must do if you are visiting Amsterdam..The village is just out of a post card and is perfect..It is not very far away from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam..I am planning to go back soon in Autumn and stay at Geithoorn for few days..
