During this full-day bus tour you will discover famous Giethoorn, a beautiful Dutch windmill in a picturesque village and you will go shopping in Batavia Stad shopping village

Pass meadows, cows, ditches, windmills, dikes and idyllic landscapes as we make our way to the world famous Afsluitdijk. This dam connects the two northern provinces, and protects half of the country against the force of the North Sea. It’s also the gateway to the Amsterdam Lake District.

Here you will have free time to explore this dam! Find out why it’s so important for the Lake District, walk across to see the North sea, climb the monument (a watch tower looking out across both the IJsselmeer and the North Sea), or take a picture with its founder, Mr. Lelie.

Then enter the Amsterdam Lake District, located in the province of Friesland. Visit the picturesque village of Woudsend. Your local guide will show you the beauty of the village; a traditional windmill where you will meet the miller, a maze of alleys and paths, a beautyfull church, a wood sawmill, and many beautiful houses.

Next up is Giethoorn. Make sure your camera is ready to capture this beautiful, village without roads. During the 1 hour boattrip you will enjoy the beautiful canals, picturesque wooden bridges and many wonderful farmhouses. Afterwards you have time to discover the village on your own or enjouy lunch in one of the restaurants.
