What an amazing way to see this art collection! Through the eye of a true art historian and expert, exclusive access and knowledge, this was just fabulous!!
Great guide. Wish he had given us more information on the lives of Rembrandt and Vermeer instead of just talking about their works of art.
My 3 hour private VIP guided tour of the Rijksmuseum was the absolute highlight of my time in Europe. Kees, the guide, is an art historian who is a fount of knowledge about the Dutch Golden Age, of course, but also about particular paintings, the way they came to be, lives of the painters and their families and modern research. He made the time vivid and alive. Cant recommend highly enough!
The tour guide was well informed, articulate, organized, interesting, and fun. Highly recommend.
The tour with Kees was amazing, we have been the first in the museum and we had some 20-25 minutes to be nearly alone in the hall of fame - if nothing else, this was to money worth. But it was just an add-on. To spend 3 hours in the Rijksmuseum with Kees was something extraordinary. He showed us all the important Dutch masters, spent time explaining the most important paintings, on the other hand he also showed us other interesting items from the collection of Rijksmuseum, telling us the stories you would not find in any guides... If I would go once more to Rijksmuseum, I would definitely go with Kees again.
