Itinerary
We meet at our office location on 5th Ave, where after a quick stop at Beluga Point to see if the whales are in the inlet we then drive you to the trailhead. Falls Creek is a difficult hike due to elevation gain. The hike itself is 5-6 miles round-trip depending on route. You can choose to stop at the top and go to a tarn (a mountain lake) or continue another 1000’ up a ridge and then go back down. Those who choose to do the ridge climb will need to be comfortable with scrambling and exposure. And don’t worry if half of your party wants to go up the ridge and the other doesn’t, we provide two guides and can split you up! At the lake we will have lunch and a break before making our decent and returning you to our office location on Anchorage.
