Full-day Glacier Trekking at Matanuska Glacier with Lunch
The Matanuska Glacier is the only vehicle accessible glacier near Anchorage. Come enjoy over 2 hours directly on the glacier with a multi lingual glacier guide by your side. Explore blue meltwater pools, the ice formations and deep crevasses. You will be equipped with crampons that attach to your shoes. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring an extra pair of socks. Your shoes might just get dirty with glacial flour. This is rock ground into fine powder by the glacier – it makes amazing fractals in the pools and river! This tour requires 2 hours of walking. Your fully-guided transportation includes a pick up at your hotel, with complimentary water and snacks in the vehicle. This tour includes a lunch of local fare next to the glacier. You will return to your Anchorage hotel by 6:30pm. Please make sure you indicate which hotel you would like to be picked up upon booking.
