About this activity
After picking you up from the hotel you will head to the city of Kemer and National Park of Tahtali Mountain. It is 7759 feet above sea level (2365m) and only during summer time it is not covered in snow. It is clearly available to see from the distance, because it monumentally goes above all other shorter mountain tops.

After arriving at the 297 feet (700m) height you will get to the base of the cable car. The cable car goes up and down every 15-20 minutes and in its wagon, it may fit even up to 80 people. After entering the gondola you will go for a 15 minutes ride to the top the Tahtali mountain. In ancient times this mountain was called Olympus and it was believed that gods are living here.

After stepping out of the gondola you are able to go the observation decks with a breath-taking view. Mountains, gorges, Mediterranean Sea, Kemer, Antalya up to the Demre city. On the mountain top in station building, you are able to buy souvenirs, have a hot and cold drinks from café (at your own expense) or even tan on beach chairs. After that you will once again go down the mountain with gondola and go back to the hotel with a bus.

Aside from a cramped, no air-conditioned bus on the 2 hour journey there and 2 hours back to the hotel, this is a good experience. The views are amazing at the top of the mountain...even better from the roof terrace. It was a shame though that our guide who spoke VERY little English was still able to INSIST that a monetary 'donation' be made for the driver...so just be aware of that.
