BLUE HILL: Full-Day Antananarivo Discovery Private Tour with Ambohimanga

You will get picked up from your Antananarivo hotel at 8.30am. After your pick up, the driver will depart on the city tour. On this historical tour, you will be able to discover places like the Independence Avenue, the downtown, which is located next to administrative blocks, shops, flower’s market, school, hospital, the biggest and oldest hotel in Antananarivo and the famous Anosy Lake. Anosy Lake is located in the heart of Antananarivo. It is surrounded by purple blooming Jacaranda trees. In the middle of the waters, you will find a large white Angel on the top of the monument; it is the commemoration of soldiers lost in the First World War.

After this head to the Ampefiloha quarter where you'll see supermarket, schools, restaurants, banks and the oldest and biggest 5 star hotel in Antananarivo - The Carlton Hotel. This is a best place to see local people's lifestyle. The driver will bring you back to do the tour of the lake passing through the administrative blocs (trial bloc and ministries blocs) and finish this part with the beautiful flower market. After you will be visiting the upper town, located at the commercial blocs (jewelers), bank, the president’s office, night club, different restaurants and the famous Queen Palace, Cathedral and Prime Minister Palace.

Before passing on this avenue, you will see the public market in Antananarivo, called Analakely (meaning white umbrella) but firstly the market of Zoma (Friday market). You can admire pavilions, rail station, hotels and arcades along this avenue before enjoying lunch at Relais Du Rova.

After lunch, you will be going to visit the Blue Hill, classified one of the old heritage sites of UNESCO and back to Ambohimanga Village. For shopaholics you will have time to vsit the city centre and the handicraft market. And 5.30pm your driver will drop you back at your hotel.
