From 8 to 8:30am – Hotel Pick-ups
9:00am – Visit to an Artisan Chocolate workshop to learn about "Mayan Cacao", cultivation and process.
09:30am – Guided visit at Bishop´s Francisco Marroquin Palace, Guatemala´s first Bishop. Learn about his life and roll during the colony.
10:15am – Quick visit to Ciudad Vieja, Antigua´s previos capital. Discover this charming old town located at the slope of a gigantic volcano and learn how natural forces contributed to move the city´s location.
10:45am – Guided visit to Macadamia nut Farm. Learn about cultivation, process and the modern uses for it, such as beauty products.
11:30am – Visit to Mayan Weavers and Textile Museum at San Antonio Aguas Calientes. Discover the ancient back-strap loom technique used by the Maya and still in actual use by these amazing group of ladies
12:30pm – Guided visit to “La Azotea” Cultural Centre and Coffee Plantation. Coffee is equivalent to tradition and quality in Guatemala, our expert guide will share and show to you all related to its history, cultivation and process. Located in the same complex and not less important, the Mayan Music Museum and Museum for Local traditions and Ceremonies will be the last 2 attractions in our itinerary.
