About this activity
Day 1:
The Full-day tour by camel visits the most important natural and historic sights of Wadi Rum. We will begin by visiting the Lawrence Spring, followed by our famed sand dunes, Khazali Canyon with its breathtaking ancient inscriptions, Umm-Fruth rock bridge as well as other small arches and notable rock formations such as "chicken rock." We will visit several panoramic views including a view of Burdah Bridge, tour between the red and white desert and also have an opportunity for some light hiking through one of our most beautiful canyons.
On the tour we will stop at a scenic viewpoint to enjoy a packed lunch.
Day 1 comes to a close with the opportunity to enjoy the sunset at our specially chosen sunset place and finally by returning to my traditional style Bedouin camp where dinner will be served and we will spend the night.
Day 2:
On the morning of your second day, we will depart from the camp after we enjoy breakfast to begin our hiking tour. You will have the choice to hike either Burdah Bridge or Jebel Umm ad-Daammi.
The hiking tour is a full-day tour and includes a one hour lunch stop when we will stop to enjoy a meal and the views.
After we have descended from our hike we will continue on to our cave camping location. We have carefully selected this cave location for it's beauty, safety and wonderful location for observing the stars. The cave will be prepared with mattresses, blankets and pillows for sleeping. At the cave, dinner and tea will be prepared over the fire in the traditional Bedouin style. This is your chance to really experience the old ways of the Bedouin and get a glimpse into our nomadic and natural past and way of life.
In the morning breakfast and tea will be served fireside before you will be returned back to the village for departure.
