This area of the World seems to be a very historic and underrated place to take a tour. It is not your usual American vacation destination. In Armenia, our pleasant tour guide, Marineh and driver, Varanc, took us to many early churches and monasteries (including a Pagan temple surprisingly still standing). Marineh's grasp of Armenian history and culture was excellent, making this an unforgettable tour. The second half of the tour in Georgia used the beautiful city of Tbilisi as a hub. Caveman dwellings, The Stalin museum, Ultra modern buildings and bridge in site of Turkish baths and Medieval walls were shown by our guide/driver Slava. A nice touch to the tour was a home cooked meal by Slava's family . This really made us feel at home in Georgia. A great tour, wonderful guides, delicious food and hospitality. Highly recommended.
