Day 1: Arrival

Pass By: Republic Square, Yerevan 0010 Armenia

Day 2: City tour: History Museum- Opera House - Cascade complex -Ararat Brandy factory

Stop At: History Museum of Armenia, Republic Square 4, Yerevan 375010 Armenia
Get acquainted with the capital of Armenia, one of the oldest cities in the world which is 2800years old. Live the life of the ideal combination of old and new, lively and quiet sides of the pink city.
What trip would be possible for a country without the basic knowledge of that very country?
Well, no trip! That is why we are heading to the History Museum of Armenia located just in the city centre in Republic Square. In the museum, you will get acquainted with a country having thousands of years’ history.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: The Armenian National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Alexander Spendiaryan, Tumanyan O. str. 54, Yerevan 0002 Armenia
Then have a light walk to Yerevan Opera House (the Armenian National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Alexander Spendiaryan) via Northern Avenue. From the Opera House walk to the Cascade Complex which is the stairs to the breathtaking view of the city.

Day 3: Yerevan-Khor Virap- Echmiadzin-Zvartnots-Yerevan

Stop At: Khor Virap, Artashat, Lusarat Armenia
It is morning and what to do this time?
In the first Christian country, monasteries are undoubtedly magnificent, and every single one is different and unrepeated. So let’s start a journey to Khor Virap, where the very first torchers over Grigor the Illuminator. You will savour the view of the monastery, the biblical mountain Ararat and will know a lot about the origins of Christianity in the world. By the way Khor Virap means ‘deep dungeon’. Do you know why?

Stop At: Echmiadzin Monastery, Vagharshapat Armenia
The spiritual city is waiting for you. The next stop will be at Echmiadzin where you will touch the roots of Christianity. You will see the first monastery in the world and visit the museum where a lot of valuable and highly important pieces of art are kept there such as the Holy Lance (Geghard) which pierced the side of Christ and the relics of Noah's Ark in a reliquary.

Stop At: Zvartnots Temple, Vagharshapat Armenia
And not far from Echmiadzin, another piece of artwork stands in ruins but that doesn’t spoil its beauty and perfect harmony with the surroundings. Zvartnots will be in front of you and Ararat.

Day 4: Matenadaran- Garni-Geghard

Stop At: Matenadaran - The Museum of Ancient Manuscripts, Mashots Av 53, Yerevan 0013 Armenia
Let’s start the morning at an amazing depository of books, but not of ordinary books. No, they are ancient manuscripts, valuable pieces of artwork and the brave bearers of the long history. Matenadaran is the place where all those books and pieces of them are preserved and analyzed.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery Road H3, Garni Armenia
Then we go on a special trip to Garni and Geghard where two religions stand side by side. Garni is the only pagan temple existing in Armenia. Just next to it is the bases of a church and behind these two are the breathtaking mountains and the Garni Canyon.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: The Monastery of Geghard, Geghard Armenia
From Garni take the way to Geghard monastery, the amazing construction hidden in the mountains. Geghard is a 13th-century construction on the bank of the Azat River.
The words are even powerless to describe the flawless assimilation of the surrounding nature and the constructions.

Day 5: Yerevan-Saghmosavank-Haghpat-Sanahin (overnight)

Stop At: Saghmosavank Monastery, Artashavan Armenia
Next morning is the day to travel to the northern part of Armenia. The first visit will be to Saghmosavank. The monastery has once been an important book depository and educational centre.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Haghpat Monastery, next to Saint Nshan Church, Haghpat Armenia
Haghpat and Sanahin monasteries (10-13th century) are situated in the Lori region.
Haghpat and Sanahin monasteries, the biggest and most important educational centres of Armenia in the medieval period are in the middle of the mountains with lavish vegetation.
The complexes are the results of the highest flowering of Armenian religious architecture. In the monasteries a number of well-known academicians, calligraphers and illuminators have studied.

Day 6: Goshavank - Haghartsin -Sevanavank-Yerevan

Stop At: Goshavank Monastery, Gosh Armenia
From Lori to Tavush! You are going to have an incredible trip and discover the other gems of Armenia in Tavush region. Goshavank is a monastery built in the 10th-12th centuries. It has served as a school and a significant cultural centre for centuries.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Haghartsin Monastery, Dilijan Armenia
Not far from Goshavank, Haghartsin stands in the green-green forest. The monastery was built in the 13th century. The ambience and amazing scenery take you to another world of peace, harmony and inner relaxation.

Stop At: Monastery Sevanavank, next the Holy Mother of God Church, Sevan Armenia
Last but not least, you will see and feel the breath of the blue eyes of Armenia, Lake Sevan and Sevanavank on the peninsula. The monastery dates back to the ninth century. The beauty of the lake and the mystery existing in the monastery Sevanavank are compelling.
Then, you are heading to Yerevan, the capital city. Having an evening walk in the city will be the perfect end of the day and the week.

Day 7: Departure
