Itinerary

Day 1: Yerevan - Goris - Tatev Monastery - Tatevi Anapat - Satan's bridge - Goris

Stop At: Tatev Monastery, Tatev Armenia
In the morning your guide will greet you at the lobby of the hotel for discovering the heart of Southern Armenia the town of Goris, its traditional character and its many sites of interest. Our discoveries will bring us to the Tatev Monastery on ropeway, that is perched on the mountain outcrop above the Vorotan Canyon. Later, we will take the trail which will lead us to the ancient medieval Monastery of Tatevi Anapat, that was Tatev Monastery’s annex and former defensive seminary.

Stop At: Satanayi Kamurj (Satan's Bridge), Across the Vorotan River, Tatev Armenia
For the most courageous ones, we offer the experience of adventure in the Satan's bridge, where we can explore the natural pools of warm water. At the end of the day, we will continue to Goris where we will settle in a comfortable guesthouse, where a hospitable and enjoyable atmosphere is guaranteed.

Day 2: Goris Town

Stop At: Aksel Bakunts Museum, Mashtots 41, Goris 3201 Armenia
The second day will be devoted to Goris, the town of traditions, good zest for life, troubadours and poets. We will be amazed by its rustic character, its fairy chimneys created over a century ago and the spirit of resistance of its inhabitants. We will take a stroll through the town and cover the main sights, including St-Hripsime chapel. Afterward, we will ascend the "Lasti Khout" hill, where a fabulous panorama will gratify us. After lunch, we will head to the Museum of Local Geography. In the afternoon, we will pay a visit to the adjoining village of Verishen and the church of St. Hripsime Dzagatsor from the 4th century. After these discoveries, we will have our well-deserved rest in the mountainous village Akner, where fresh herbal tea will await us. The day will be concluded by visiting outstanding Armenian writer’s, Axel Bakunt’s museum.

Day 3: Goris - Khndzoresk - Karahunj - Noravank - Khor Virap

Stop At: Khndzoresk Swinging Bridge, M12, Yerevan 0032 Armenia
The third day of our stay in Goris will begin from a visit to a beekeeper's house, where he will share with us the secrets of bee-keeping. The route will continue to the old village of Khndzoresk, with its suspended bridge, medieval chapel and its troglodyte houses.
Duration: 5 hours

Stop At: Karahunj, Sisian, Armenia
After having a delicious meal, we will return to Yerevan, but on our way to the capital, we will unveil the observatory of megalithic stones Karahunj, that is considered older than Stonehenge, the Noravank Monastery which is a masterpiece of the Armenian architecture, and the Monastery of Khor Virap, from where a breathtaking view of Mount Ararat will be a real reward to our eyes.
