Stop At: Khor Virap, Artashat, Lusarat Armenia

During this tour our first stop is going to be the closest monastery to mount Ararat — Khor-Virap. It is located on one of the hills of the ancient city of Artashat — one of the ancient capitals of Armenia. Earlier on this hill was located the Royal prison, where for a long time was imprisoned the first Catholicos (Patriarch) of Armenia Gregory the Illuminator. "Khor" is translated from Armenian as deep, "Virap" - dungeon.

Stop At: T'rchuneri (Bird) Cave, Highway, At the Entrance To Noravank Canyon, Areni Armenia

In the village of Areni there is a place called "Bird’s cave" where the oldest winery (4100 BC) and the oldest leather shoe in the world (5500 years) were found.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Noravank Monastery, Areni Armenia

Passing the picturesque gorge of Amagu, we will find ourselves on the territory of one of the most inaccessible monasteries of medieval Armenia - Noravank. "Nor" is translated from Armenian as new. "Vank"; — monastery. The Church is located among the red rocks, which gives it a special atmosphere.

Stop At: Jermuk Waterfall, Jermuk Armenia

Jermuk waterfall is one of the brightest natural attractions of Armenia. It is located at an altitude of about 2000 m above sea level near the town of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor Region. Waterfall, reaching a height of 68 m, is the second highest in the country.
It is also called "The Mermaid's Hair" Waterfall.
