One day in luxuriant Lori on Horseback

Itinerary

At the beginning of our day, your guide will meet you at your hotel for heading to the northern region of Lori, a generous and lush-forested province. By the afternoon we will reach a small hamlet near Odzun where our horses and our guide will be waiting for us. We will start the riding through the Lori Canyon where we will pass along the Dzoraget River and its canyon of divine beauty. In this magical surrounding, we will have a stop for enjoying our meal.

After a picnic, we will reveal the Hnevanq Monastery on the opposite bank of the river. The construction of the monastery was financed in the 7th century by the representatives of the glorious princely Mamikonian family, former leaders of the Armenian military forces. Our next stop will be the ancient "brother and sister" fortress on two opposite hills on each bank of the Dzoraget River. Afterward, we will ride towards the starting point, where our comfortable vehicle will be waiting for us for giving a safe transfer back to the capital city Yerevan.
