First of all, you will stop at the picturesque Lake Sevan with its crystal clear water and stunning historic peninsula which is home of medieval monastery Sevanavank. Nicknamed the ‘Blue Pearl’ this magnificent lake is the jewel of Armenia. The Wonderful Lake that surrounds the peninsula of Sevan and Sevanavank is one of the most beautiful places in Europe.

Driving about 90 kilometres to the northeast of Armenia's vibrant capital city of Yerevan, the highway narrows into mountainous roads as you enter the Tavush region. Your second stop is the old charming town Dilijan. The unseasonably hot and humid summer has vacationers flocking to "Armenia's Switzerland" from across Armenia and bordering Georgia, Russia and Iran, as well as from various parts of Europe.
