Winter City Tour in Yerevan begins from the Republic Square.
Stop 1: Megerian Carpet factory or Armenian Rugs museum
One of the best ways of disclosing the Armenian traditions is to have a walk round the “carpet museum”. The winter city tour in Yerevan also includes an interesting excursion towards the factory-shop of Armenian carpets. In the Megerian carpet you can have a look at the unique Armenian carpets and get acquainted with the dyeing technologies by means of natural substances.
Stop 2: Sasuntsi David's statue
Next stop of this winter tour is Statue of David of Sassoun, which is one of Yerevan's symbols. It is located in the Square of David of Sassoun near the South Caucasus Railway Station. The sculptor of the famous statue is the world-famous Armenian painter- sculptor Yervand Kochar, who is one of the founders of three-dimensional and kinetic painting. The first composite version of the statue was prepared by Yervand Kochar in only 18 days. The present monument was created in 1957.
Stop 3: Erebuni Museum
The next stop of the winter excursion is the Erebuni Historical and Archeological Reserve-Museum. Here you can get acquainted with ancient history and culture of Yerevan. In the Museum of Erebuni - there is the first cuneiform inscription about the foundation of Yerevan (782 BC) as well as the material values which existed still it the beginning of III thousand BC and is considered unique throughout the whole the Middle East. The exclusive collection of the museum has been exhibited in the world famous museums such as Louvre, Metropolitan Museum, Hermitage and in many other ones.
Stop 4: Victory Park
One of Yerevan's biggest parks is Victory Park. The monument with Stalin's statue in Victory Park was opened in 1950, and in 1967 the statue of Mother Armenia was placed. The Mother Armenia Military Museum now operates in the Memorial Complex. Military Museum "Mayr Hayastan" introduces to visitors not only the history of the Second World War but also the history of the liberation movement of Artsakh. 
Stop 5: Cascade complex
Cascade Complex is a famous place for Armenian people and the guests for the wintertime. Cascade complex includes the modern art museum, parks, cafes and restaurants frequented by locals and tourists. 
Stop 6: 
Vernissage
Vernissage is an open-air market, where you should come for locally produced handicrafts, unique examples of folk art, etc. Here you can easily buy the best souvenirs and presents and take a part of Armenia with you.
Stop 7: Republic Square
The last stop of our winter tour in Yerevan is Republic Square. It is the central town square in Yerevan. The square includes 5 major buildings – National Gallery and History Museum of Armenia, Government house, Ministries and а hotel.
