DAY 1:
Arequipa to Yanque (Colca Canyon) - By Private Van
Early in the morning, your private tour guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and take you on a astonishing four hour private spectacular journey to Yanque.
Have your camera ready as you will stop at some stunning viewpoints including the Pampa Cañahuas Reserve, which is home to many exotic Andean animals including vicuñas, alpacas, llamas, flamingos, ibis and the Andean eagle.
You will witness beautiful landscapes as you drive past lakes, glaciers and some magnificent volcanoes, such as Ampato, Sabancaya, Huallca and Misti.
We will reach our journey’s highest point of 4800m (15,000ft), before heading down the canyon to Yanque.
Upon arrival at your hotel, you will enjoy a delicious lunch, while taking in the wonderful view. In the afternoon, you will have time to spend at leisure. Enjoy the hot thermal springs of Yanque, take a short trek or relax in your hotel while taking in the spectacular view of the beginning of canyon and its terraces.
DAY 2:
Colca Canyon Tour and back to Arequipa - By Private Van
Early in the morning, we will meet you at your hotel and take you to the most amazing places in the Colca Canyon.
Along the way, we will stop in several small Andean villages where time seems to have stood still and Colonial architecture continues to be well preserved. We will travel along the canyon until we reach ‘Mirador Cruz del Condor’, which is the best viewing point for looking into the depths of the Colca Canyon; at this point it is1200m deep. From here you will almost always spot a few condors flying with stunning scenery in the background.
You will have the chance to go for a short hike along the canyon and afterwards, you will enjoy a deliciously prepared local lunch.
Once you have taken in the refreshing air of the Colca Canyon, we will transfer you to your hotel in Arequipa by private van. The journey will take approximately 4 hours through a wonderful scenery of lakes, glaciers and volcanoes.

Viator represented tour starts 7am. Tour guide didn't show until 8am. From 7:30am onwards, we attempted several phone calls to tour operator an international mobile call expense, but calls were met with phone being answered then immediately hung up on.When hotel receptionist started on reception around 7:55am she advised it is common practice for tour guide to show up around 8am. Unreliable information from Viator and poor support service from tour operator caused unnecessary worry and expense. Bad and disappointing service.
