  • We aim to deliver the best safari experience to our customers. On our safari we try to stay off the beaten track as we fully believe in preserving the natural African beauty by aiming to promote local cultures and protecting the environment. We are constantly adapting and enhancing our route plan if we become aware of new points of interest and carefully select our accommodation and lodges after thoroughly evaluating their suitability for our clients. Wherever we can, we use eco-friendly camps and lodges, where management acts responsibly to the environment and local communities in all aspects possible
  • Ngorongoro Crater plays a significant role in maintaining the ecological balance with its 20,000 large grazers and its large concentration of predators. Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge is nestled on the rim of this Ngorongoro Crater. It is built mainly from natural stone and local wood that blend with its natural environment. Maasai guides from the lodge are more than happy to show you around the area, to tell you about their culture and to share their knowledge of local wildlife and vegetation with you.COMMUNITYCultural tourism initiatives, such as the Hadzabe and Datoga tribal visits, are diligently structured so that they benefit the community and the curious traveler. We encourage you to be proactive and respectful when engaging in such activities. We also remind you to always ask permission before taking photographs.
  • We employ local guides and support staff who we pay fair wages, often exceeding government standards which we still consider too low, and thereby remove the reliance on tipping from travelers for livelihoods.
  • Our accommodation choices make use of locally owned properties where possible and often include adventurous, authentic choices such as local home stays which therefore involve local people and their communities in the very fabric of our vacations.
  • We encourage all our travelers to research local customs and read your trip notes before you depart to ensure you are conscientious and respectful in a different culture.
  • In most cases we strongly recommend that you do not give money to children beggars. If begging is a successful enterprise, parents are encouraged to forsake their children’s education in pursuit of this opportunity.
  • Talk to us about packing for a purpose and see if you can get involved by making a small material contribution to the communities you are visiting. We have developed partnerships with charities and accommodations throughout Tanzania and are constantly working to extend our reach with the help of our travelers.
