Day 1: – Kilimanjaro Airport - Arusha

Meet on arrival, transfer Arusha for overnight at The African Tulip. Meals included: N/A

Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire Park - Crater Rim

After breakfast, depart for your private safari to Tarangire National Park. Proceed to Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, perched right on the Crater rim, and enjoy a magnificent sunset over the Crater. B, L, D, included

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

Morning game viewing in Ngorongoro Crater, transfer back to Arusha for overnight at The African Tulip. B, L, included

Day 4: Arusha - Londorossi Gate - Mti Mkubwa Camp

Elevation (m): 1,390m to 2,360m to 2,895m, Hiking Time: 4 hours

Breakfast, drive to Londorossi Gate for registration, then drive further up to Lemosho Glades to begin your 3-4 hours hike to Mti Mkubwa Camp. B, L, D, included

Day 5: Mti Mkubwa - Shira1 Camp

Elevation (m): 2,895m to 3,505m, Hiking Time: 5-6 hours

Breakfast, climb to Shira Plateau. Overnight at Shira1 Camp, B, L, D, included

Day 6: Shira1 Camp - Shira2 Camp

Elevation (m): 3,505m to 3,840m, Hiking Time: 4 hours.

Cross Shira Plateau to reach Shira 2 Camp, which is located next to a stream. Overnight at Shira 2 Camp. B, L, D, included

Day 7: Shira2 Camp - Lava Tower - Barranco Camp

Elevation (m): 3,840m to 4,630m to 3,950m, Walking Time: 5-7 hours

Breakfast, walk up a steepening path toward Lava Tower, descend to Barranco Camp at 3,950 m/12,960 ft. On this day, be careful to notice any signs of altitude sickness. Overnight at Barranco Camp, B, L, D, included

Day 8: Barranco Camp - Karanga Camp

Elevation (m): 3950m to 4200m, Hiking Time: 4 hours.

Breakfast, climb this awesome obstacle head down through the Karanga Valley. Overnight at Karanga Camp. B, L, D included

Day 9: Karanga Camp - Barafu Camp

Elevation (m): 4200m to 4550m, Hiking Time: 4 hours

Prepare your equipment for your summit climb. Go to bed by 7pm, try to get a few hours of precious sleep. Overnight at Barafu Camp. B, L, D, included

Day 10: Barafu Camp - Uhuru Peak - Mweka Camp

Elevation (m): 4,550m to 5,895m (and down to 3,100m), Hiking Time: 6 - 8 hours up / 7 - 8 hours down

Wake up at 11:00pm, start 6-hour summit attempt, enjoy your accomplishment, descent back to Barafu Camp, then hike down to Mweka Camp. Overnight at Mweka Camp. B, L, D, included.

Day 11: Mweka Camp - Mweka Gate - Arusha

Elevation (m): 3,100m to 1,980m to 890m, Hiking Time: 3 - 4 hours

Breakfast, hike back to the park gate. then drive back to Arusha for a comfortable night at The African Tulip, Breakfast & Lunch included

Day 12: Arusha - Kilimanjaro Airport, Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home
