Day 2: Day 2 -3: Maasailand

Stop At: Maasai Market Curios and Crafts, Arusha, Arusha Region
Welcome to Tanzania! Karibu Tanzania!
After Yoga breakfast you will drive to Maasai Lodge – Africa Amini, nestled in-between Mt Kilimanjaro (19,341 ft.) and Mt. Meru (14,997 ft). This is where you immerse yourself for the second two days in Tanzania, a special place where you immediately come to rest and reflect. In the middle of the wilderness of the Maasai steppe, you will stay in the comforts of a traditional bungalow, complete with all the modern-day essentials.
We will spend our days practicing yoga and meditation in the most peaceful and stunning of settings; nature walks with Maasai guides and learning about the traditions and stories from the people of this land.
This is the best place to get to know the rituals and practices of the Maasai people, traditions that have kept them strong, beautiful and proud for centuries. There is a pool over-looking the savannah and a sauna and massage room. Meals are made with love, combining indigenous foods with modern recipes. Most dietary sensitivities can be catered for on the Healing Safari.
From your bed, you may see the sunrise over Mt. Kilimanjaro in the morning, and late afternoon walks upon the earth allow you to feel the pulse of this land. The primordial African bush is one of the most profound ways to re-connect with nature in its purest form. A place where your mind, body and spirit find grounding and you can truly soothing your soul.

Duration: 8 hours

Meals included:
• Breakfast: Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation included: Maasai Land Lodge

Day 3: Day 4-6: The Serengeti Ecosystem and the Great Migration

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
You are transferred to the West Kilimanjaro airstrip for your flight into the Serengeti. Here you stay at the stunning Acacia Migration Camp, a luxury tented-camp offering an authentic and intimate bush experience in the middle of the Serengeti wilderness. Complete with a full-sized bed with cotton sheets and duvet, a warm-water shower, and sumptuous meals, this is the “true Africa” experience, the one you have been dreaming about.
In the Serengeti, you have a chance to see elephants, lions, cheetahs and leopards and truly immerse yourself into primordial natural rhythms. In late November, after the short rains, the wildebeest head down from Kenya and back into the revitalized Serengeti.
This Great Migration is rated as one of the world’s most spectacular natural events – every year over a million wildebeest and zebra and antelope migrate across rivers and plains. Being immersed inside of this mass movement stirs your heart and liberates your soul.
During your stay, you experience yoga and meditation sessions overlooking the savannah, the healing power of storytelling around the campfire, African-style. The Yoga Instructor will be teaches about understanding your mind-body constitution and the dynamics of your relationships within your extended family and your ‘tribe’, while Your Driver Guide will illuminates the parallels between what you see on the game drives and our human society, the sacred masculine and the sacred feminine from an indigenous African perspective.

Duration: 9 hours

Meals included:
• Breakfast: Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation included: Luxury Camps or Lodges

Day 4: Day 7-10: Highland Forest and Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Arusha Region
You depart the Serengeti ecosystem by road and travel towards the Ngorongoro Crater. The views along the way are simply spectacular as you look out at the changing landscape, from the plains of the savannah to the rugged highlands. You are travelling the Rift Valley of East Africa, a place where the remains of some of our earliest ancestors are found.
For the final days of the Healing Safari, you stay at a blissful farm retreat, a place that truly brings a sense of well-being and tranquility. Your beautiful cottage may overlook exquisite gardens teaming with flowers, vegetables and herbs. We spend our days on peaceful walks with breath-taking scenery, viewing wildlife and practicing yoga and meditation in this naturally healing environment. There are massages available and you have an opportunity to meet with a laiboni, a traditional spiritual healer in Maasai culture.
We descend into Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera, a magical place, teeming with wildlife. After a day of wildlife viewing, we gather around the fire for happy hour, sharing stories with the Yoga Instructor and Driver Guide before a delicious meal and time for reflection, journaling and dreamtime.
Our final meal together will be a celebration and closing ritual that honors our beautiful experience of the wildlife, land, people and culture that have helped heal you in the most gentle and profound ways.
