Itinerary

We will discover the urban delights of Asheville, capturing great shots in camera, providing you with pictures that you will be proud to print and frame!

Do you have a DSLR that either sits at home gathering dust or you use it but only in 'Automatic' mode? We can help fix that! Let us assist you in how to use your camera in part or full manual mode and allow you to take creative control of your shots.

We will meet in downtown Asheville, go on a walking tour (finding out cool facts about Asheville along the way) whilst showing you how best to capture portrait pictures and architecture shots. We will also see some fabulous street art. By the end of the tour, you will have a far greater understanding of your DSLR & what it can do for you. You no longer need to fear putting it into manual mode! We will give you tools to:
- blur out the background for portraits
- create fabulous bokeh (look it up!),
- learn which settings you need to use in harsh light and low light
- focus the viewers attention
- simplify your shots
- be informed on light, location and layout

Please note: this is not a class on specific camera models (we recommend getting to know your camera buttons a little).
