About this activity
At sunset, your will be picked up from your Aswan (Hotel, Nile Cruise), for a fantastic 1 hour show at Philae temple Island.
The visit begins with a romantic motor boat ride to reach Philae Temple Island, upon arrival, have your camera ready for the spectacular sound and light show. Walk through the temples of Philae while listening to a detailed story of the legend of goddess Isis and god Osiris. Watch in awe as a rainbow of lights and laser projections illuminates the temple, bringing it to stunning life.
Walk through the temple of Philae atmospherically lit courts, halls and colonnades as the commentary summons up the ghosts of pharaohs past and recounts the temple’s history through the ages. Dusk had just descended when we were ferried by a motorboat to Philae temple , the temple of Goddess Isis. Our guide handed us headsets to hear the narration in English as the show was in French. Usually these shows are conducted in English, French and Spanish in different slots. We were short of time so we were accommodated in the French slot. When the show started, the magical lights and the narration of the story of Isis mesmerised us. We walked as if in a trance through illuminated halls with huge columns and courtyards of the magnificent temple. The history seemed repeating itself in front of our eyes. I would recommend this tour to everyone as crossing Nile at dusk and watching the temple at night is a totally different experience.
